HONOLULU – Contemporary Italian fare is now being served at OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger with the grand opening of Appetito Craft Pizza & Wine Bar. Guests and visitors to Waikiki can delight in hand-tossed artisanal Neapolitan-style pizzas, fresh pastas quality steaks and an impressive wine list.
The brand new eatery is located street-level at OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger, adjacent to International Market Place, and open from 7am – 10pm – serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and two happy hours.
Restaurant creator David Chiddo worked alongside regional executive chef Hiroyuki “Hiro” Mimura of the popular Taormina Sicilian Cuisine to ensure that Appetito remains true to its Italian roots while rotating the menu to highlight seasonal local ingredients.
The restaurant’s vibrant wine bar offers a select list of 100 fine wines, along with craft beers, homemade limoncello liqueur and handcrafted cocktails inspired by the island’s culture.
“Modern and unpretentious – the space is perfect for family dining, a fun date or intimate group inside the private room,” said Isaac “Ike” Cockett– general manager of OHAHA Waikiki East by Outrigger. “The aroma from the kiawe-wood burning oven is mouth-watering and the impeccably fresh flavors will not disappoint.”
