Introducing Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa – Book with Confidence

HONOLULU – Outrigger Hospitality Group announced today that its newest oceanfront property – Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa on the Island of Hawaii – is now taking reservations at outrigger.com, with special introductory rates starting at just $149 per night.

“For more than 70 years, Outrigger has provided heartfelt hospitality in Hawaii; our commitment to this destination remains steadfast and we are proud to invest in our island home – especially amid challenging times,” said Jeff Wagoner, president and CEO of Outrigger Hospitality Group. “We know that vacations offer precious time to explore, reconnect and recharge; it’s an honor to serve our guests and we look forward to welcoming travelers to experience this special place renowned for its Hawaiian heritage and healing.”

The captivating 22-acre resort is perched above the lava-rock cliffs of the sun-kissed Kona Coast and offers an idyllic home for vacationing families as well as business and leisure groups of all sizes. It will officially transition to an Outrigger resort on April 15, 2020.

Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa has more than 500 spacious rooms/suites with private lanai and abundant amenities, including a Voyager 47 Club Lounge, fitness center, wedding chapel, traditional Hawaiian cultural center, kids club and oceanfront pool with a winding waterslide. Guests can dine at two on-property restaurants, including the oceanfront eatery Rays on the Bay, aptly named for the majestic manta rays that live in the waters fronting the property. The turquoise waters of Keauhou Bay are one of the only locations on the planet where, year-round, people can snorkel with these gracious giants.

Keauhou Bay was once a place of rejuvenation for Hawaiian royalty; this tradition is carried forth today at Ho‘ola Spa. In Hawaiian, “ho‘ola” means to “heal.” Guests can choose from a menu of ancient Hawaiian therapies, alongside modern healing and spa treatments – such as a Himalayan Salt Room. Outrigger is committed to perpetuating the history of this iconic resort, while sharing the rich culture of Keauhou Bay, the birthplace of King Kamehameha III.

Located less than 30 minutes from Kona International Airport, the oceanfront setting and tropical resort grounds make for truly memorable meeting and event experiences; the property boasts more than 50,000 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor function space, including a 10,000 square-foot convention center – the largest on the Kona coast.

Guests of Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa can immediately start to accrue tier-night credit for their visits with qualified stays through Outrigger’s DISCOVERY Loyalty Program, which includes more than 570 hotels in 78 countries. As a member of Outrigger DISCOVERY, guests are entitled to special benefits during their stay, plus earn special Local Experiences – authentic activities meant to connect each traveler more deeply with their destination and make each stay unforgettable.
