Mike Palazzotto and Matthew Mariconda Step Into Management Roles at Outrigger Hospitality Group

HONOLULU, HAWAII – Outrigger Hospitality Group has named Mike Palazzotto corporate director, safety and security and Matthew Mariconda controller for the Outrigger-managed OHANA® Waikiki Malia by Outrigger® and Embassy Suites by Hilton™ Waikiki Beach Walk®.

Palazzotto oversees the implementation of safety and security programs globally for Outrigger’s 37 properties in premier beach resort destinations across six countries, ensuring the safety of guests, hosts and property.

He joins Outrigger from Grand Wailea on Maui, where he was the director of security since 2005 and prior, was manager of safety and security at the Fairmont Kea Lani Resort.

With an associate degree in administration of justice from the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Palazzotto serves on the board of directors of the Maui County Hotel & Resort Security Association and was also its president and vice president. He is a board member of the Wailea Community Association; member of ASIS International, a global community of security experts; and president and director of HESA Foundation, targeting cyber security.

Mariconda oversees the multi-hotel property accounting office functions and serves as part of the hotel executive management team at both properties.

He joined Outrigger in 2018 as senior financial analyst and prior was with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, first as wealth advisory associate, then financial advisor associate, and finally as financial advisor. Mariconda holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Hawaii and is treasurer for Bluewater Mission.
