New focus for Outrigger’s marketing and distribution department

HONOLULU, HAWAII – Taking marketing and distribution to a new level, Outrigger Enterprises Group has announced its newly renamed marketing and distribution department with a focus on digital guest experience; marketing and guest acquisition; loyalty and engagement; and global contact center operations. Leading the efforts are:

Pacific (APAC) coordination and implementation: Eugene Oelefose, director marketing and e-commerce (APAC), ensures Outrigger is meeting the needs of its  Asia-Pacific properties with smooth and successful implementation of programs, including the new Outrigger DISCOVERY loyalty program and aggressive growth of their customer database.

Digital guest experience: New to Outrigger, Carl Light takes on the role of director, digital guest experience and is the lead in creating an outstanding guest digital experience and optimal revenue generation with key areas of responsibility being Outrigger.com and associated websites.

Global contact center operations: Anita Travis continues to oversee global contact center operations for retail and wholesale and expands her role in social media listening and social care.

Loyalty and guest engagement: John McDonald is director, loyalty and guest engagement, focusing on implementing and growing the new Outrigger DISCOVERY loyalty program, driving email and broader CRM initiatives and developing strategic partnerships in the loyalty and guest engagement space.

Marketing and guest acquisition: Sun Wong has been promoted to vice president, marketing and guest acquisition to include digital, offline, wholesale co-op and media and relationships, strategic partnerships, promotions, travel agent program and the alignment of corporate and property marketing plans globally.

Analytics and usability manager: Tracy Nash is responsible for improving usability and performance of Outrigger’s digital assets through data, analytics, usability studies and best practices.

Content manager: Marisa Guerrero is responsible for digital content and messaging of corporate-managed digital assets with the core asset being Outrigger.com.

Marketing and guest acquisition team

Campaigns and promotions manager: Kyle Vidal has been promoted to this expanded role responsible for the strategic planning and execution of corporate marketing campaigns, promotions and partnership opportunities.

Director, global marketing and planning: Heather Doeringer has been promoted to this expanded role and is responsible for strategic media planning and negotiations of consumer and travel trade marketing, including the travel agent platform, Outrigger Expert Agent.

Guest engagement manager: In this newly created role, Thaila Kaikana is responsible for the management of email marketing activities related to customer engagement, customer retention, list growth and revenue generation.

Global contact center operations

Director, human resources (HR): Kelly Smallwood has been instrumental in numerous projects that have improved processes, procedures, capabilities and host satisfaction at the contact center, and has expanded her role with involvement in numerous company-wide HR initiatives from training and development to programs and benefits.
