Oseo captained Fiji in its historic win in the finals of the Rugby Sevens competition in Rio de Janeiro, bringing home Fiji’s first-ever gold medal from a Summer Olympics.

He also captained Fiji to victory in the 2014-2015 and 2015- 2016 Sevens World Series and scored more points than any other player during the 2014-2015 Sevens World Series.

Accompanied by his partner Tavu Fa, Oseo arrived on Castaway Island, Fiji for a three- night stay and was welcomed by General Manager Steven Andrews and his dedicated team of hosts.

Oseo was the surprise guest at the housekeeping team’s Housekeeping Week celebration and recognition awards and later showed guests the skills that helped him win Olympic gold in a game of beach rugby.

During his stay, Oseo gave children at the Solevu District School the memory of a lifetime when he made a surprise visit, giving a motivational speech, playing touch rugby with the children and teaching them some of his rugby skills.

He also inspired hosts by sharing his rugby life story at the Vakatunuloa host meeting shed.

While staying at Castaway Island, Fiji, he made himself available for photo opportunities with guests, many of whom now have a photograph of themselves with Fiji’s living legend, Osea Kolinisau.

Vinaka vakalevu, Osea, for sharing your magic with the Castaway team and holidaymakers lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.
