Outrigger and Kahala Sportswear debut exclusive “World Crew” collection benefitting the Polynesian Voyaging Society

HONOLULU, HAWAII – Following the success of their first collection of aloha shirts inspired by the Polynesian Voyaging Society (PVS), Outrigger Enterprises Group and Kahala Sportswear are expanding on their partnership to debut the latest line in their exclusive aloha shirt collection. The limited-edition collection includes a new print in four vibrant colors that feature the Outrigger and PVS logos, as well as celebrates traditional Polynesian wayfinding. The aloha shirts will be available in Kahala Sportswear retail locations, select Macy’s stores and online at Kahala.com starting Oct. 28.

Outrigger and Kahala will donate a portion of the proceeds from each shirt sold to the Polynesian Voyaging Society. A perfect gift that keeps on giving, the shirts are fashionable while supporting the mission of the Malama Honua Worldwide Voyage – to cultivate global stewardship and unity, setting the course for a sustainable future.

Since departing Hawaiian waters in May 2014, Hokulea has sailed more than 26,000 nautical miles and made stops in 14 countries and 70 ports, growing a global movement toward a more sustainable world. As a longtime supporter of the organization, Outrigger set sail on a strategic partnership with PVS in 2013, sponsoring the voyage with accommodations for the crew and educational opportunities and activities for the community to participate in at various properties in Fiji, Australia, Bali, Mauritius and other iconic destinations where Outrigger Resorts are located. In addition, Outrigger pledged to provide more than $500,000 worth of support through various fundraising efforts and cross marketing, including its O Ke Kai series hosted at the Outrigger Reef.
