Outrigger Fiji guests go Kula krazy in new wildlife adventure park

CORAL COAST, FIJI – The opening of Kula WILD Adventure Park has given Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort guests convenient access and a special three-day entry pass* to Fiji’s only wildlife adventure experience.
Formerly Kula Eco Park, the extensively renovated facility now features Fiji’s only rollercoaster forest canopy zip rail ride – the Kula Krazy Canopy Flier – and the country’s only hillside water slide, the 110m (360 ft) Kula Splash Mountain Jungle Slide.
A short walk from Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort which also runs a free shuttle bus to the park, it features Fiji’s only dedicated children’s splash pool, the Kula Kiddies’ Splash Pool, and the country’s largest marine display.
There is also a turtle reef pool displaying hatchling turtles, stingrays, marine and tropical fish aquariums, a gift shop and two licensed food outlets serving snacks, ice cream, beer and wine.
Since opening in 1998, Kula Eco Park has won eight Excellence in Tourism and Best Fiji Experience Awards, plus the Excellence in Tourism Sustainability Award and this same dedication to Fiji’s wildlife has now been integrated into a family fun park.
Kula WILD Adventure Park offers a unique opportunity to meet and photograph Fiji’s wildlife up close.
Set in five hectares (12 acres) of coastal rain forest, it gives guests the chance to interact with and take pictures of some of the rarest animals in the world.
With more than a kilometer of wooden walkways and bridges, visitors can experience Fiji’s unique plants and animals with walk-through enclosures displaying parrots, iguanas, fruit bats and raptors.
The park, exclusively funded by gate receipts and donations, is Fiji’s only official breeding center for endangered Fiji wildlife and visitors help support the breeding programs and the free environmental education classes provided by the park for Fiji’s school children.

It includes interaction/photo op with live Fiji fauna (iguanas, snakes and or other animals as circumstances permit); hand feeding of Hawksbill turtles at dedicated feeding times; a ride on the Kula Krazy Canopy Zip Rail system; a ride on the Splash Mountain Hill Side Water Slide and use of the Kula Kiddies’ Splash pool (slides, sprays, dump bucket) (Age limit three to 11 years).
