Building on nearly 20 years of support of UH student-athletes, Outrigger steps up to Diamond Corporate Partners
HONOLULU, HAWAII – Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, a long-time Corporate Sponsor of the University of Hawaii Athletics, has elevated its commitment to be a Diamond Corporate Partner. Last season, local businesses including Outrigger Hotels and Resorts helped the UH Athletics Corporate Partner Program generate more than $3.8 million in cash and trade to offset UH Athletic Program expenses.
As a Diamond Corporate Partner, Outrigger Hotels and Resorts expands its tournament sponsorship with the addition of the Rainbow Wahine Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Volleyball Challenge, September 12-14. Outrigger Hotels and Resorts continue to serve as title sponsor for five other collegiate sports events during the 2013 – 2014 athletic season, including:
- Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Rainbow Classic (Men’s basketball)
- Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Soccer Classic (Women’s soccer)
- OHANA Hotels and Resorts No Ka Oi (Women’s soccer)
- Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Volleyball Invitational (Men’s volleyball)
- Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Baseball Season-Opening

Outrigger Hotels and Resorts will also continue to provide resort stay giveaways, restaurant certificates and other prizes to the winner of the “Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Paddle Cam” at all men’s and women’s volleyball and men’s basketball games at the Stan Sheriff Center, and will further reward UH fans by providing on-field giveaways during Rainbow Warrior football home games in the upcoming season.

In addition to sponsorships and giveaways, Outrigger Hotels and Resorts hosts a “Call the Coach” show at Kani Ka Pila Grille at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach on select Monday nights. UH fans are invited to attend a one-hour radio broadcast devoted to UH coaches and their teams. Fans will hear the latest scoops on the Rainbow Warriors and Rainbow Wahine, meet the UH athletics coaches, enjoy great food and drinks and win prizes. Validated valet parking is available.
