WAIKIKI, HONOLULU, HAWAII – Crowds will cheer as six celebrity chefs and two Hawaiian music bands take the stage at Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort for the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival’s signature event, Battle of the Brunch and Bass, Round III. As an official sponsor of the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival, Outrigger Resorts is offering festival attendees an exclusive VIP vacation package inclusive of a Voyager 47 Club category room/suite, nightly turn-down service and two admission tickets to the Battle of the Brunch and Bass on Sunday, October 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the pool deck at Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. Guests will also have access to the new Voyager 47 Club Lounge, inclusive of personal concierge services, daily morning breakfast bites and premium coffee, as well as early evening light appetizers, cocktails and craft beers.
At this year’s event, six chefs will fire up their grills to create the ultimate brunch dish for guests. The delectable dishes will be taste tested by attendees who have the power to crown the culinary champions. Two-time reigning champs, Chef Lee Anne Wong and Chef Sven Ulrich, will be challenged by newcomers Michelle Karr-Ueoka and Wade Ueoka as well as Celine Tio and Colin Hazama. Adam Richman, host of one of the Travel Channel’s highest rated shows, “Man v. Food” and “Secret Eats with Adam Richman,” will serve as a special presenter, helping guests make the difficult decision of the best brunch.
Adding more fuel to the fire, two bands will battle for a limited contract at Kani Ka Pila Grille – Honolulu’s home for live Hawaiian music – located at Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. The winner of the 2015 Kani Ka Pila Grille Talent Search, Waimanalo Sunset Band, will duke it out with the 2016 champions, Pu’uloa. The crowd favorite will be named the winner.
