Outrigger Resorts Announces Food and Beverage Management Appointments

HONOLULU, HAWAII – Outrigger Resorts is pleased to announce Delia Romano as executive sous chef for Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort and Jason Kayatani as general manager of The Reef Bar & Market Grill at Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort.
As executive sous chef, Romano is responsible for achieving food and beverage revenue, profit and guest satisfaction goals through menu preparation and kitchen operation management.
A featured chef at the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival, Romano brings her vegan flare to the resort’s food and beverage offerings.
Sous chef since joining Outrigger, Romano held the same position while at Michael Mina’s Stripsteak at International Market Place.
Romano holds a master automotive technology certificate from Lincoln Technical Institute; a bachelor’s in business, communications and technology from New York Institute of Technology; and a bachelor’s in fine arts from Rutgers University. She is a member of the business networking organization National Association of Professional Women.
As general manager of one of Waikiki’s only true beachfront dining options at Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort, Kayatani’s responsibilities encompass all areas of operations related to the guest service experience including team performance, sales and profitability, cost controls, training development and retention programs.
Before joining Outrigger, Kayatani was Mai Tai Bar manager; Surf Lanai restaurant in-room dining multiple manager at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, A Luxury Collection Resort, on Oahu; Nanea Restaurant and Bar manager at the Westin in Princeville Ocean Resorts Villas on Kauai; and food and beverage manager/director of restaurants at Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas and stewarding/banquet manager at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel, both on Maui.
Jason holds a bachelor’s in travel industry management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
