KAILUA-KONA, HAWAIʻI — OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa welcomes the community to honor the legacy of Ka Lani Kauikeaouli with a special weekend of cultural celebrations, educational panels and traditional Hawaiian music. Hosted by the Daughters of Hawai‘i Ho‘okupu, Celebrating Kauikeaouli 2025 will take place at the Kaleiopapa Convention Center and the Hawai‘i Lawn at OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa from March 17-22, 2025.
For more than 20 years, this annual event pays tribute to Kauikeaouli, King Kamehameha III, and his profound contributions to the Hawaiian Kingdom, particularly in literacy and governance. The gathering also recognizes the Daughters of Hawai‘i for their ongoing dedication to preserving Hawaiian history and culture.
“For many years, OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa has continued to be our gathering place in Keauhou Bay,” said Lehua Kaulikukui, community engagement project manager at Kamehameha Schools. “It provides a picturesque venue for our convenings that uplift the historic significance of the birthplace of Kauikeaouli and the preservation of our cultural heritage.”
