HONOLULU – OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group has named Marson Salim as its Director of Internal Audit, effective immediately.
In this role, Salim will be responsible for establishing and leading OUTRIGGER’s internal audit function. Key responsibilities include developing the audit process and annual audit plan, identifying areas of potential risk and working closely with departments across the organization to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards and internal controls.
Salim brings more than two decades of experience in hospitality finance to OUTRIGGER, most recently as the Regional Manager of Internal Controls for Marriott International’s Western Regional Office. In that capacity, he developed audit tools, conducted risk assessments and trained property leaders on financial best practices while overseeing the internal control systems for 167 hotels including Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton and Sheraton.

Salim holds a BS from California State University Long Beach, an MBA from National University in San Diego and a hospitality degree from the Swiss Hotel Management School in Caux, Switzerland. He is proficient in a wide range of industry software including Excel, Opera, PeopleSoft, SAP and FOSSE.
