Castaway Island, Fiji honored with Prestigious HM Environmental & Individual Awards

HONOLULU – OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort has been named Best Fijian Hotel of the Year at the prestigious 2025 HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence, reaffirming its position as one of Fiji’s premier resorts.
Held November 21, 2025 at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney, the 23rd annual awards brought together more than 800 industry leaders for a night celebrating excellence in hospitality across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

The recognition for OUTRIGGER Fiji follows a trio of honors bestowed upon Castaway Island, Fiji at the 2025 Aotearoa-Pacific HM Awards held in Cordis, Auckland on October 31, 2025. Castaway Island proudly took home the title for Best Environmental Program, recognizing the resort’s continued commitment to sustainability and marine conservation.
In addition, Mr. Paula Mocewai, Assistant Chief Engineer, was honored as Hotel Engineer of the Year, a testament to his dedication, innovation and exceptional contribution to the resort’s operations. The celebration continued with Ms. Sereima Tinainaituku receiving Highly Commended Recognition for the Rising Star Award, reflecting the resort’s continuous investment in developing outstanding Fijian talent.
