Paddling Santa Brings the Aloha to OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Beach Resort for 20th Year
HONOLULU – For the 20th consecutive year, Santa Claus took his annual vacation to the iconic OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Beach Resort to spread aloha and holiday cheer. Trading in his sleigh for an outrigger canoe, Santa paddled and surfed his way to shore on the waters of the birthplace of surfing on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Locals and visitors alike joined hula Halau Pukaikapuaokalani to welcome Santa into Waikīkī, kicking off his Hawaiian getaway with an exciting meet & greet, photo opportunities and a chance to secure their spot on the nice list. The annual event is a beloved tradition for many – including Santa, who gets to kick back, relax and enjoy the beautiful views and Hawaiian sun before his busy season. For OUTRIGGER hosts, it was also a chance to give back, as more than 40 hosts participated in a Waikīkī beach clean-up, collecting 192 pounds of rubbish.
