RELEASE NUMBER 25/16
WAIKIKI, HONOLULU, HAWAII – Outrigger Hotels and Resorts today announced Hawaiian Aroma Caffe has opened its third cafe in Hawaii at the Holiday Inn® Resort Waikiki Beachcomber, an Outrigger-managed property. With a sophisticated balance of European flair and a commitment to exceptional customer service, Hawaiian Aroma Caffe specializes in accommodating the refined palates of coffee lovers from around the world. Custom blend coffees, granitas, panini, pastries and other exciting drinks and desserts are served at the new cafe.
“A great cup of coffee in the morning is a necessity for most people, and we are confident that the premium brewed espresso, delicious pastries and relaxing atmosphere at Hawaiian Aroma Caffe will become part of our guests’ daily routines,” said Alan Naito, general manager, Holiday Inn® Resort Waikiki Beachcomber. “We love that our guests can enjoy truly refined roast coffee served with warm island hospitality to kick-start their day.”
In 2012, Hawaiian Aroma Caffe was voted “best espresso in town.” In the years since, the cafe has created three more award-winning roasts in collaboration with Hawaiian Paradise Coffee. These flavors include Kalama Roast (10 percent Kona), High Surf (10 percent Waialua) and the famous 100 percent Kona Roast.
“We love coffee and we love our community,” said Jonathan Rotmensch, Hawaiian Aroma founder and chief executive officer. “The opportunity to open a store in the center of Waikiki and spread aloha to the visitors from around the world through coffee was too good to pass up.”
Hawaiian Aroma Caffe boasts a more robust taste than its chain store counterparts; and with popular favors such as “Nutella Latte” and “Dolce Banana,” even those with a sweet tooth are satisfied. Hawaiian Aroma Cafe’s roasting and distribution facility in Kapolei is the Hawaii licensee for national coffee brand, Royal Cup Coffee.
In addition to its new location at the Holiday Inn® Resort Waikiki Beachcomber Resort, Hawaiian Aroma Caffe has another cafe in Waikiki and a downtown location on Bishop Street. The cafe has worked with numerous chefs for their extravagant food pairings, including Donato Luperfido, Bruno Forno, La Tour Bakehouse, JJ Bistro and, most recently, Jay Philpot.
