HONOLULU – For more than 17 years, Santa Claus has surfed onto the golden sands fronting the iconic Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort via canoe through the famed waves of Waikīkī – reindeer are not necessary (they’re resting up for Christmas Eve).

During the holiday season in Waikīkī, there’s no winter wonderland to walk. Instead of snow glistening in the lanes, the Pacific Ocean fronting Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort sparkles and shines under a warm tropical sun. The spirit of the holidays is on display with an enchanting holiday arrival that’s unique to the Islands!

There’s no sight quite like it — Kris Kringle sharing a shaka with Diamond Head in the background.

Locals and visitors alike bring their keiki (children) to the beach to greet Santa Claus! He shares joy with his grand smile, filled with aloha.

This annual event is a favorite (Hawai‘i-style) holiday tradition for many. And no worries, Santa will get back to his workshop at the North Pole in time to get everything ready for the big night…after a little rest and relaxation at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort.

Mele Kalikimaka and Happy Holidays from Outrigger Hotels and Resorts!
