Outrigger Hospitality Group Announces Chryssaldo Thomas General Manager of OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger®

HONOLULU, HAWAII – Outrigger Hospitality Group has appointed Chryssaldo Thomas general manager of the OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger®.
Thomas leads all operational aspects of the property, including sales, host engagement, customer service and financial performance.
“Coming from our flagship Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort, Chryssaldo is an energetic leader who understands our brand vision and has already demonstrated operational excellence,” said Mike Shaff, vice president hotel operations Hawaii and Guam.
Thomas was resort manager at Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort since 2017 and came to Outrigger from the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa where he was director of rooms since 2014. He was also rooms executive at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida and at the Hyatt Lodge McDonald’s Campus in Oakbrook, Illinois.
With management experience in all areas of a hotel from executive housekeeper to front office and guest service manager, Thomas’ career has taken him to Massachusetts, Virginia, Florida and Illinois.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Bethune Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida, majoring in hospitality management.
OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger is home to several eateries: Appetito Craft Pizza & Wine Bar, a contemporary approach to classic Italian fare with an impressive boutique wine list; Hawaiian Aroma Caffe, Waikiki’s most Instagrammed coffee shop offering Hawaiian-grown Kona coffee with an Italian flair; Chuck’s Steakhouse serving up prime rib, seafood and nightly entertainment; and Tanaka of Tokyo, presenting skillfully prepared seafood and steak teppan-yaki-style.
