Outrigger Hospitality Group Appoints PEPR Agency

RELEASE NUMBER 21 | 22

Outrigger Hospitality Group has appointed travel and tourism specialists PEPR Agency to manage the PR for its Oceania markets.

PEPR will assist the Outrigger team on further increasing brand awareness amongst Australian, New Zealand and Fijian travelers for its collection of premier, award-winning beach resorts across Hawai‘i, Fiji, Thailand, Mauritius and most recently the Maldives. Outrigger prides itself on its world-class hospitality rooted in local culture and has some of the most iconic beach locations such as Waikīkī Beach in Hawai‘i, the Coral Coast in Fiji, and Koh Samui Beach in Thailand.

The group has recently expanded its portfolio into the Indian Ocean acquiring the luxury five-star Maafushivaru Resort, notably renamed Outrigger Maldives Maafushivaru Resort.

Andrew Gee, Outrigger Hospitality Group vice president of sales and marketing Asia Pacific said: “Since borders have started reopening, we’re excited to see Australians and Kiwis returning to our properties over the past few months, especially a high influx to our two properties in Fiji. After two years of no travel, our iconic resort locations offer what everyone is seeking – sun, beachfront, open spaces and of course Outrigger’s famous guest hospitality.

PEPR has a well-earned reputation as one of the best travel and lifestyle PR agencies in Australia. We’re thrilled to be working with Philip and the team to build the reputation of our hotels and resorts, especially during such an exciting period of growth.”

PEPR Agency’s director Philip Engelberts said: “We are delighted to be working with Outrigger Hospitality Group as the group’s communications partner of choice in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Over the years, we’ve been privileged to work with clients in Hawai‘i, Fiji, Thailand and the Maldives so to work alongside the Outrigger ohana is a wonderful synergy for PEPR. We look forward to sharing the brand’s stories and updates from their stunning collection of beachfront resorts.”

The account will be overseen by account director Chloe Curtis, with day-to-day management to be handled by account manager Nicole Tapster. The account will be supported by account coordinator Caroline Parsons.
