OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group Names Craig A. Waterman General Manager of OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort

HONOLULU – OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig A. Waterman as general manager of OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort, the flagship of OUTRIGGER’s global beachfront portfolio that recently completed an $85 million transformation into a contemporary beachfront retreat rooted in Hawaiian culture and music.
As GM, effective September 24, 2024, Waterman will be directly responsible for ensuring that all department operations are effectively managed in a profitable and professional manner. He will oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort, aiming to create and maintain maximum profitability, customer satisfaction, product quality, service standards, facility maintenance, workplace harmony and property safety practices in accordance with The OUTRIGGER Way.
Waterman has more than two decades of hospitality experience across all aspects of resort operations, sales & marketing, renovations, openings and transitions – most recently as the Area General Manager for Davidson Hospitality based out of Long Branch, New Jersey.
His impressive resume also includes leadership roles at renowned hospitality groups including Hyatt, Two Roads, Sage, Starwood and the Ritz-Carlton, where he started his career in housekeeping.
“Craig has successfully managed operations, sales and marketing at luxury, mountain and beachfront lifestyle hotels across the country and we’re excited to have someone with his extensive experience and expertise at the helm of the OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort,” said Mike Shaff, senior vice president of operations for The Americas.
In addition to his professional experience, Waterman holds a bachelor’s degree in political services from the University of California – Irvine.
