The Outrigger Hospitality Group’s Australia Global Showcase delegation

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – The Outrigger Hospitality Group global showcase event has wrapped up after a weeklong series of events and appointments in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

President and CEO Mr. Jeff Wagoner joined the team in Brisbane while Vice President Hotel Operations Hawaii/Guam Mr. Mike Shaff, VP Sales and Marketing Asia Pacific, Mr. Andrew Gee and VP Corporate Communications, Ms. Monica Salter traveled with the team to all three cities.  Executive VP and Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Sean Dee joined the showcase in Sydney and Melbourne.

Outrigger’s properties in Hawaii, Fiji, Thailand, Mauritius and The Maldives were all represented at the showcase.

Andrew Gee (Outrigger VP sales and marketing APAC), Allisa O’Connell (Flight Centre brand manager), Jeff Wagoner (Outrigger president & CEO), Graham ‘Skroo’ Turner (Flight Centre CEO & founder), Mike Shaff (Outrigger VP hotel operations Hawaii/Guam) and Maria Alaveras (Outrigger sales manager)

Guests included key wholesalers and product managers, specialist travel agents, tourism industry partners, airlines and travel media. Outrigger Resorts communicated with more than 450 travel industry professionals during the week-long road show.

The 2019 event launched in Brisbane at Blackbird Restaurant, Eagle Street Pier followed by events at Rivers Edge, World Trade Centre in Melbourne and at L’Aqua, Cockle Bay Wharf Darling Harbour in Sydney.

During his welcome address at the Brisbane event, Jeff Wagoner flagged the likely re-entry of Outrigger into Australia if the company could find a beach or beach community-based resort, preferably in Queensland.

He said that Australia, particularly Surfers Paradise, was the perfect market for Outrigger and fitted its objective of being the premier beach resort brand in the world.
