Outrigger Resorts Global Showcase heads for Australia

OutriggerResorts_OHR_blueBRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – Outrigger Hotels and Resorts head office executives and representatives from Hawaii, Mauritius, the Maldives, Fiji and Thailand will join their Australian counterparts for the Outrigger Resorts Global Showcase next week.

Leading the 21-strong delegation that will visit Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne are chief operating officer, Mr. Paul Richardson; vice president sales and marketing for Asia Pacific, Mark Simmons; and regional director of sales and marketing Australia and New Zealand, Andrew Gee.

As well as Outrigger Resorts, the Outrigger-managed OHANA® Hotels by Outrigger®, Embassy Suites, Hawaii Vacation Condos by Outrigger® and Holiday Inn brands in Hawaii will also be represented.

The team will host guests in each capital city including key wholesalers and product managers, specialist travel agents, PCO’s, tourism industry partners, airlines and travel media during the week.

Acquired by KSL Capital Partners in December 2016, Outrigger’s new CEO, KSL Resorts co-founder and CEO Scott Dalecio, has assumed day-to-day oversight of the company as Outrigger plans future enhancements. Former CEO David P. Carey, who led the company for more than 30 years, has a lead role on the Outrigger advisory board with a focus on development, community relations and strategic growth.

The company expects to reinvest more than $100 million in renovating and refurbishing its hotels and resorts drawing on its expertise in business development and project management.

Part of the Global Hotel Alliance since August 2016, the company’s beachfront brand, Outrigger® Resorts, is part of the DISCOVERY loyalty network program that includes 33 independent hotel and resort brands across more than 550 properties.
