WAIKIKI, HONOLULU, HAWAII – With a dedication to wellness and healthy living, Waikiki Beach Walk is pairing fitness with fun in its newest, limited-time-only offering: Dance Fitness Class with Willow Chang. A renowned belly dance performer and choreographer, Chang will transform the Waikiki Beach Walk lawn into a dance floor on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 to 10 a.m., and 10 to 11 a.m., and Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. through Thursday, August 28. Classes are $15 to participate, and dancers can register at the Shiatsu & Massage Center on the second floor, suite 209 or by calling 808-922-0171.

“We’re thrilled to expand our health and wellness offerings with Dance Fitness Class with Willow Chang,” said Conchita Malaqui, general manager of Waikiki Beach Walk. “We know that sometimes it’s tricky to carve out time to take care of your health and wellbeing. Our goal has always been to make healthy living as fun as possible for our participants.”

Health and wellness enthusiasts are also invited to take part in Waikiki Beach Walk’s regular class offerings:

Hoopdance Fitness

Whoever said fitness can’t be fun hasn’t tried Hoopdance Fitness. The popular workout craze is a low-impact, aerobic, dance-based fitness class using hula hoops to burn upwards of 400 calories in less than an hour. Certified Hoopdance instructors from Twirling Girlish, Sirkka Aho and Kate McClain, hold classes every Thursday at 5:45 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m. on the Waikiki Beach Walk lawn. Yoga on the Lawn

Seasoned yogis and beginners alike are invited to find their inner zen with a free weekly yoga class on the Waikiki Beach Walk lawn. From downward dog to warrior II, the public is invited to come and strike a pose every Wednesday from 4 to 4:45 p.m. To sign up for the class, head to the Shiatsu & Massage Center on the second floor, suite 209. Hawaiian Quilting Demonstrations and Classes

Beyond exercise, Waikiki Beach Walk offers a unique way to inspire balance for the mind, body and soul. Every Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., experienced quilter Hiroko Udagawa instructs both experienced and novice quilters in the art of Hawaiian Quilting.
