Waikiki Aquarium announces 2017 Ke Kani O Ke Kai summer concerts featuring some of the island’s top performers

HONOLULU, HI  – Join the Waikiki Aquarium this summer for the return of its popular Ke Kani O Ke Kai summer concert series featuring live local entertainment under the stars. Presented by Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, this year’s line-up includes some of Hawaii’s top performers including Grammy Winner, Kalani Pea, 2017 Na Hoku Hanohano Award nominees Keauhou and Josh Tatofi, among others. Guests will also enjoy food and refreshments from Haili’s Hawaiian Foods, Cactus Restaurant, Laverne’s and HASR Bistro.

The five-night concert series takes place every other Thursday evening from June 15 through August 10, 2017 as follows:

  • Thursday, June 15 – Jerry Santos & Kamuela Kimokeo / Hot Club of Hulaville / Osorio Ohana
  • Thursday, June 29 – Streetlight Cadence / Hoku Zuttermeister / Kalani Pea
  • Thursday, July 13 – Taimane / Keauhou / Speical Guest Halau
  • Thursday, July 27 – Led Kaapana / Weldon Kekauoha / Maunalua
  • Thursday, August 10 – Josh Tatofi / Alx Kawakami / Blayne Asing

A different restaurant will be paired with each concert. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The concerts begin at 7 p.m. and conclude at approximately 9:30 p.m. Guests are asked to bring their own low sand chairs or beach mats for seating.

Tickets are priced at $50 for adults, $20 for children (ages 5-12) and free for children 4 and under. Tickets for Friends of the Waikiki Aquarium “FOWA” members are priced at $30 for adults, $15 for children. Special series pricing, including single admission to all five concerts will be available for $200 general admission ($75 for children) and $120 for FOWA members ($45 for children). Food, beer, wine and other beverages will be sold separately. No outside food or beverage will be permitted.
