RELEASE NUMBER 24 | 25
HONOLULU – OUTRIGGER Resorts & Hotels is celebrating World Ocean Month this June with a vibrant lineup of community events, conservation activities and cultural engagements across its global portfolio – from coral planting and fish house making in Fiji to beach clean-ups and ocean-inspired festivals across the Hawaiian Islands.
Shaped by its mission to be the premier beach resort company in the world, OUTRIGGER’s connection to the ocean is more than scenic – it’s a foundational part of its identity. Since the launch of the OUTRIGGER Zone initiative in 2014, the company has made ocean conservation an essential part of its operations, partnering with local organizations and marine experts to preserve coral reefs, reduce marine debris and foster environmental education.
“The ocean isn’t just part of OUTRIGGER’s story — it’s at the heart of who we are, and caring for it is a responsibility we embrace,” said Monica Salter, VP of Global Communications & Social Responsibility. “World Ocean Month is a time to act and bring together our guests, hosts and communities to champion ocean conservation through hands-on efforts.”
