HONOLULU — Two distinct island experiences, one shared recognition: OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Beachcomber Hotel and OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort have been recognized in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, reflecting the experiences travelers value across two of the Pacific’s most sought-after destinations.
OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Beachcomber Hotel ranked No. 5 among the Best Hotels in Hawai‘i, while OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort ranked No. 15 among the Top Resorts in Australia and the South Pacific. The awards drew more than 798,000 reader survey responses, offering a snapshot of the destinations and stays travelers most want to revisit.

OUTRIGGER WAIKIKI BEACHCOMBER HOTEL
Located on famed Kalākaua Avenue, steps from Waikīkī Beach, OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Beachcomber Hotel brings local creative expression into the guest experience. Its identity as Hawai‘i’s first craft hotel is reflected in artwork, murals, furnishings, ocean-inspired installations and a signature soundtrack developed with local artists and creative voices known as the Beachcomber Originals.
The hotel is also home to ʻAuana, Cirque du Soleil’s first resident show in Hawai‘i. Blending acrobatics, live music and hula inspired by the islands, the production has welcomed more than 455,000 guests since its December 2024 premiere. Open-air dining, daily live music and locally brewed craft beer from Maui Brewing Company alongside Kona coffee and bites at Hawaiian Aroma Caffe further connect the hotel to Waikīkī’s vibrant local scene.
“Hearing this from Condé Nast Traveler’s readers means a lot, and the credit goes to our team, whose aloha guests feel in every stay,” said Cecilia Hamao, general manager of OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Beachcomber Hotel. “While our location draws guests in, it’s the people and experiences that make a lasting impression.”

OUTRIGGER FIJI BEACH RESORT
On the Coral Coast of Viti Levu, OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort pairs beachfront relaxation with experiences designed for couples and families. Following a multimillion-dollar renovation completed in December 2023, the resort introduced new luxury room categories, upgraded family amenities and a rebuilt adventure park, with design elements that bring Fijian craftsmanship and culture together with contemporary style.
Guests can retreat to Bebe Spa Sanctuary, perched on a ridge overlooking the South Pacific; families can take advantage of the complimentary Kids Club and teen program; and couples can unwind at the adults-only pool and swim-up bar.
“To be ranked among the best resorts in Australia and the South Pacific by travelers themselves is a proud moment for all of us,” said Darren Shaw, general manager of OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort. “Fijian hospitality begins with the warm ‘Bula’ every guest receives on arrival, and our team carries that spirit through everything we do. Vinaka vakalevu to every reader who voted for us.”
Both OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Beachcomber Hotel and OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort participate in OUTRIGGER DISCOVERY, the award-winning loyalty program of Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands. The program’s 38 million members enjoy recognition, rewards and exclusive experiences across 1,000 hotels from 60 brands in 100 countries. They can also earn and redeem DISCOVERY Dollars (D$), with D$1 equal to USD 1, on eligible stays, dining and experiences.
