Easter Chickens Rule the Roost at Outrigger on the Lagoon, Fiji

SIGATOKA, FIJI — Bunnies may be traditional but it’s Easter chickens which will feature at Outrigger on the Lagoon, Fiji along with special accommodation rates for the holiday period.
Beginning on Good Friday, there’s a chicken nursery at the Kids Club where children can handle small baby chicks and for adults, a live band poolside from 1 – 5 p.m. and a seafood extravaganza buffet at the Vale Ni Kana restaurant.
On Easter Sunday morning, there will be a church service at the resort followed by an Easter egg hunt for the kids and a poolside Kids Club Easter hat parade with the live band returning to the poolside from 1 – 5 p.m.
Outrigger on the Lagoon, Fiji has one-night stays from FJ$432 (AUD$255) including tax over the April 12-30 Easter period, five nights from FJ$1728 (AUD$1028) which includes one free night and seven nights from FJ$2160 (AUD$1285) with two free nights. Accommodation is in a Superior Resort View room.
Couples can now retreat to the resort’s purpose built adults-only pool and bistro, the Vahavu, with a 20m lap pool, a 35m lagoon pool and a swim-up bar. The bistro offers a contemporary menu featuring shared tapas platters in an outdoor setting with full poolside service and a lounge area.
Parents can take advantage of the resort’s unique Meimei nanny program employing 37 fully trained nannies.
The service provides one-on-one care for children aged 6 months to 2 years and two children per nanny for children 3 years and over.
There is also Little Riggers for 3-7 year olds and Beach Riggers for 8-12 year olds.
A Meimei package includes eight hours of care per day for four consecutive days for FJD$340 (AUD$202). For parents happy with less ‘alone time,’ the hourly rate is FJD$22 (AUD$13) for the first hour and then FJD$18 (AUD$11) each hour after.
Adults can also enjoy the award-winning Bebe Spa containing eight open air treatment rooms and the adjacent Kalokalo Bar with champagne views of the best sunsets in the South Pacific.
The resort’s signature restaurant Ivi features a la carte adults-only dining and the Sundowner Bar and Grill is popular for a la carte breakfast overlooking the lagoon.
