Outrigger Surfs into Duke’s OceanFest as Official Hotel Partner

HONOLULU – Outrigger Hotels and Resorts is again making waves in Waikiki as the official hotel sponsor of Duke’s OceanFest – the premier ocean sports festival from Aug. 18-16 that celebrates Hawaii’s original ambassador of Aloha, Duke Paoa Kahanamoku.

With mix of surf contests, paddleboard races, beach volleyball and so much more – guests can ride the energy with the Duke’s OceanFest VIP Package – inclusive of access to the brand new Voyager 47 Club Lounge, available at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort now through Aug. 27, 2018.

“The waters fronting Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort were Duke’s backyard. The Duke’s OceanFest VIP Package starts at $284 per night with a two-night minimum at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort for stays from Aug. 15-30, 2018 and can be booked directly at Outrigger.com using the promotion code OCEANFEST. Package inclusions:

Throughout Duke’s OceanFest, hundreds of amateur and professional athletes gather to compete in a variety of ocean sports including: surfing, stand-up paddling, a one-mile ocean swim, lifeguard competition, surfboard water polo, a wounded-warrior canoe regatta, paddle boarding, beach volleyball and more. Duke’s OceanFest Opening Ceremony // 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18
Throughout that day, guests are invited for lei-making classes at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort followed by the opening procession ceremony at the famous Duke’s statue.

Outrigger Resorts Legends Surf Classic // 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24 and Saturday, Aug. 25
The two-day Outrigger Resorts Legends Surf Classic pairs professional surf legends with amateur surfers for a friendly competition in the ocean.

Outrigger Hotel and Resorts Junior Beach Volleyball Tournament // 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25 and the Adult Beach Volleyball Tournament from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26
Cap-off Duke’s OceanFest by enjoying a day at Queens Sand Volleyball Courts. Outrigger guests can enjoy shaded VIP areas under Outrigger tents as they watch the junior volleyball tournament on Saturday followed by the adults on Sunday.
